    1 star1 star1 star1 star1 star    Live and Alive!

For someone to say they prefer Dave Gahan off his face on Heroin is f***ing mental. It nearly split the entire band then where would he be???? This said. The video combines a variety of outstanding performances from the much underated Depeche Mode. A band whose popularity has been somewhat bleak in this country. For anybody who saw this tour live (I was at Crystal Palace) there poularity is far from poor. Crystal Palace was the biggest date from the entire european tour by the bands own admission. Topping nearly 32,000 people. This video contains only one track from the Crystal palace gig. Everything Counts! Other Stand Out Tracks include the opening Higher Love then the powerful I Feel You Personal Jesus and World in My Eyes. Best Watched with all the lights out and as loud as you can get. For anyone not sure about the band live it is a good investment. The One Night In Paris DVD is also excellent. Look Out for them Touring....Fingers Crossed

1 star1 star1 star1 star1 star    Perfection. When is the DVD version available?

The best tour they ever did, the best live performance I ever went to, well captured by Anton Corbijn. Great sound, great tracklist, great stage show. Highlights - the girls faces & everything about "In Your Room", the candles on "Judas". It might be unfashionable, and I know it nearly killed him (being resussitated back stage between encores), but we prefer Mr Gahan "off his face" on heroine. The extreme colour goes a bit mad on feeble VHS, the DVD version would be preferable. The sound is exceptional, bring back Alan Wilder....
